What is the best financial advice you’ve received?

The importance of investing your money early and often.

Best and worse financial decision?

Best: I have always been motivated to manage my finances responsibly and save whenever possible. Growing up in a household with very limited financial resources instilled in me the importance of financial discipline at an early age. As a teenager, I began setting aside money received from birthdays and holidays to build savings. At 18, I entered the workforce and took on multiple jobs. I had to pay my own way through college and managed to graduate debt free!

Worst: I think my worst financial decision was purchasing expensive name-brand sunglasses (Gucci) in my early 20s. It seemed like a great idea in the moment, but looking back, I probably should not have spent two day’s worth of pay on them.
